Based on the information, Live Nation’s subsidiary Ticketmaster has decided to use Flow blockchain to launch event-themed NFTs due to its eco-friendliness. The company claims that using Flow to create NFT uses less energy than launching a Google search or sharing a post on Instagram.
The Ticketmaster highlighted that organizers can issue these NFTs before, during, and after the event. On top of that, by having an NFT, customers may be eligible for loyalty rewards and VIP engagement opportunities, such as exclusive meet-and-greets.
Ticketmaster’s executive vice president of Enterprise & Revenue, Brendan Lynch, noted:
Event organisers who choose to offer fans an NFT with their ticket have a real opportunity to make this new technology relevant and relatable at scale. This is why we are partnering with Flow, because their blockchain is custom-built for fan engagement and frictionless consumer experiences.
Dapper Labs' senior vice president for Partnerships, Mickey Mather, emphasized that NFTs will add great value to customers’ experience.
Our partnership with Ticketmaster will enable millions of live event fans to immortalise, share and enhance their IRL experiences through digital collectibles.
Previously, Ticketmaster had partnered with Flow blockchain to mint 70,000 virtual Super Bowl LVI commemorative NFT tickets. Since that time, Ticketmaster has minted over five million NFTs. Its clients included The Black Crowes, Apollo Theatre, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Gavin DeGraw.
According to Dapper Labs' announcement, National Football League (NFT) plans to offer Flow minter NFTs to every attendant in over 100 games.
