Digital collectors can rejoice as NFL has announced unique NFT tickets for everyone attending Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles in February.
In a special announcement released on Wednesday, February 2, the National Football League (NFL) surprised Super Bowl fans with a unique gift. Everyone attending Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles on February 13 will receive personalized non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The Super Bowl NFT will feature the section, row, and seat of each attendee, “providing a digital keepsake from their Super Bowl experience.” This will be the first time in nearly 30 years that the Super Bowl is played in LA and the first event at full fan capacity with complete mobile ticketing.

According to the Senior VP of the NFL’s Club Business Development, Robert Gallo, the virtual commemorative ticket NFTs have been available throughout the regular season.
We witnessed great success with this one-of-a-kind fan experience, which provided the momentum to continue this program throughout the postseason and ultimately at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.
The program was initially launched during the 2021 regular season as a way to bring cutting-edge NFT technology to the traditional sports world. The unique digital collectibles enhance the game experience for the fans.

On the day of the announcement, the NFL revealed club-specific NFTs for the two teams competing in this year’s Super Bowl, the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. The virtual tickets can be minted on the Polygon blockchain.
The NFL has released several NFT collections during the 2021 season, dedicated to the regular season and postseason match-ups, tournament teams, and Road To The Super Bowl collectibles. All virtual tickets released by the National Football League can be viewed on the official website.
