Additionally, the NFT passport opens up possibilities for holders to receive future releases, including exclusive artwork and merchandise.
In an official statement, SnoopDogg called upon other artists to draw inspiration from his work and continue to bring innovation.
With the Passport Series, I can give my fans the opportunity to travel the world with me — no one’s ever done that. I’ve always been a pioneer, and digital merch is part of the future. I’m hoping other artists can see what I’m doing and continue to innovate on their own.
This venture was created in partnership with a Web3 platform, Transient Labs.
Snoop Dogg is no stranger to Web3 projects. In 2021, he revealed himself as the secret NFT collector "Cozomo de’ Medici," who possessed an NFT collection valued at around $17.6 million at that time.
However, his involvement with NFTs isn’t limited to collecting. The famed rapper made headlines when he displayed the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection during a collaborative performance with fellow rapper Eminem at the MTV Music Awards.
Adding to his Web3 ventures, Snoop Dogg was introduced as a co-founder of a Web3-powered live-streaming platform called Shiller on March 6th. This new platform seeks to merge real-time streaming content with Web3 technology.
Snoop Dogg's innovative NFT initiative underscores the increasing role of digital technology in reshaping the way artists and fans interact. The NFT Passport Series is just another step toward a future where the lines between physical and digital experiences continue to blur.
