As a Web 3 platform, Shiller will combine audio streaming, interactive videos, games, and chats to help community members interact better. In addition, Shiller will allow creators in the Web3 community to share their products on other websites and "token-gate" their audio and video content. These creators will get paid in cryptocurrencies like Ether (ETH) and other NFTs.
When talking about the project, Snoop Dogg noted:
I’m excited to partner with Sam to launch Shiller to the world. This app truly provides a platform for creators to reach their fans in unique ways and monetize their own content. As ya’ll know, I’m always about engaging my fans directly on my own terms, and Shiller is perfect for that.
Web3 popularity and decentralized finance (DeFi) are gaining momentum as many big names in the entertainment industry are stepping foot into the sector. Snoop Dogg is one of the biggest entertainment industry representatives in the Web3 space.
Snoop Dogg had several Web3 partnerships. In April 2022, the hip-hop rap star entered a partnership to launch the “Snoop Avatars,” a Sandbox metaverse NFT collection. He also released “A Hard Working Man,” which included a song-themed NFT collection.
On top of that, Snoop Dogg and Eminem held a Metaverse-inspired performance during MTV Video Music Awards 2022.
The Shiller project is just an addition to Snoop Dogg’s numerous crypto and NFT ventures in the Web 3 industry.
Shiller is set to go live in April and will be available to selected users.
