The foodie metaverse gaming platform will bring real life restaurants, chefs and dishes to the virtual world.
With initiatives such as virtual theme parks and sports stadiums being announced by large tech companies, the food industry is seemingly also making its way into the metaverse.
Based on the official report by OneRare, the Delhi-based blockchain "foodverse" will be presented to the US market to unite foodies from all around the world by initiating various experiences, games, and activities.

The platform will have several spots where users can meet with world-renowned chefs, visit digital representations of real-life restaurants, and participate in play-to-earn gaming activities with rewards like NFTs and native tokens.
The planned digital assets awarded to players will be Dish NFTs that are awarded for gathering ingredients and completing recipes, which will be part of the minting process.
Co-founder and CEO of OneRare Supreet Raju said that the metaverse gaming platform will bring people closer to various food traditions from across the globe, stating:
"I have long said that food has a language of its own and makes the world a happier place. It is what connects us and the metaverse only brings us closer together in a unique way in which we can share our culture and our food. Now with the launch of the foodverse, there is no reason why brands and consumers can't come together in this safe, virtual setting."
OneRare will attempt to bring even more investors and recognized food brands to its metaverse platform, as its launch back in November proved to be beneficial with current partnerships with US-based restaurants like Trufflin NYC.
While OneRare will probably be the first food metaverse, there have been other blockchain initiatives related to food and restaurants.
Back in December of 2021, one Floridian opened up a crypto-themed restaurant that features menu items related to digital assets, and accepts payments with cryptocurrencies.
A few weeks ago, a restaurant owner and entrepreneur announced the first ever Bored Ape Yacht Club restaurant with plans to accept cryptocurrency payments.
