The world-renowned NFT collection will be having its own food place in Long Beach, California.
After launching several restaurants under his name, Youtuber and entrepreneur Andy Nguyen has announced that he will be launching the first restaurant in the world that is based on the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
According to a report by the Nation’s Restaurant News, the food establishment will be named Bored & Hungry, with a menu primarily consisting of various burgers, and the personnel reportedly wearing BAYC-themed uniforms.

Andy Nguyen has several restaurants under his belt, but the BAYC collection, according to him, is a "pop culture phenomenon", which is why he chose to create the Bored & Hungry restaurant. He added that:
"You could be anywhere in the world, and people will still know what a Bored Ape is. I think this is a brand that has proven in a short amount of time that they will be a strong brand for a very long time."
While Nguyen isn’t the creator of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs, it is safe to say that he couldn’t open an establishment themed with someone else's concept.
However, the BAYC gives its owners intellectual property rights so they are able to act on them as they please, as long as they own the NFT.
In fact, for the sake of opening the restaurant, Andy Nguyen purchased a Bored Ape #6184 NFT, worth $267K at that time. Likewise, he invited other owners of the BAYC collection to join him during the opening of his Bored & Hungry restaurant, coming April 9th.
Nguyen claims that the idea behind the NFT-backed restaurant was just simply wanting to try something new, and expecting to bring in a lot of customers, with further plans on implementing Bitcoin ATMs and accepting cryptocurrency payments for the food.
Funnily enough, this isn’t the first restaurant that has a Web3-themed setting. Back in December of 2021, one Floridian launched the Crypto Street Restaurant that has memecoin-themed dishes, and accepts cryptocurrency payments.
