The layer 1 blockchain has formed an agreement with the Arbitrum-based NFT marketplace to work on the ecosystem of Metapolis.
Based on the press release by Metapolis, Agora will become the place for creators to share and distribute Metapolis NFTs that will feature creative art by brands in the music, health, and esports industries.
Throughout the partnership with Agora, the Zilliqa-based metaverse will attempt to bridge the gap between "physical and digital worlds" by integrating realistic visuals and gaming experiences, combined with creator-focused digital assets, driving fan engagement with their favorite teams and brands.

Zilliqa's Head of Metaverse and NFTs Sandra Helou spoke on the recent initiative with Agora, stating:
"We are excited for this partnership as we are able to bring not only creativity to life within the metaverse but also open borderless access for creatives worldwide to connect in the digital world. The partnership between Agora, Zilliqa and Metapolis means we are at the forefront of web 3 innovation."
In fact, Metapolis will become the first "metaverse as a Service (MaaS) platform", powered by some of the best game development tools including Nvidia Omniverse, Unity, and Unreal Engine.
Likewise, the art that will be featured on Agora’s marketplace will not be limited to brand-owned NFTs, but regular artists will get a chance to put out their digital assets, and their popularity will be based on the votes of the community.
Currently, Metapolis has partnered with several brands in the eSports industry including Ninjas In Pyjamas, MAD Lions, and RRQ.
The official launch of Metapolis will take place in Miami, Florida on the 2nd of April, 2022. It will be a physical event, with VIP access to select participants.
