The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, has announced a partnership with Blockasset, a Web3 sports media network, designating Blockasset as the "Official Digital Fan Interaction Partner."
Central to this collaboration is the launch of a digital fan platform on Solana.
This platform will reward active users with exclusive opportunities such as attending live events, meeting UFC fighters, and receiving VIP Octagon tours. By participating in prediction games, fans will be able to earn points and BLOCK rewards usable within other Blockasset products.

With the collaboration, Blockasset's branding will be integrated into major UFC events, gaining visibility within the Octagon during select Pay-Per-Views and Fight Nights. UFC and Blockasset will also collaborate on original content distributed via UFC's digital and social media channels.
Bobby Evans, co-founder of Blockasset, mentioned that teaming up with UFC has been the primary goal of Blockasset since the company's inception in 2021. The company has previously entered the MMA world by partnering with notable UFC athletes such as Michael "The Count" Bisping, Leon "Rocky" Edwards, Alex "Poatan" Pereira, and Dricus "Stillknocks" du Plessis.
Nicholas Smith, Vice President of Global Partnerships for TKO Holdings, the owner of UFC, also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating:
Blockasset is known for its cutting-edge technology and collaborations with some of the biggest UFC stars. We are excited to enhance the UFC's digital experience for fans together.
This partnership will officially kick off during UFC 303: Pereira vs. Prochazka 2, scheduled for June 29.
Following the announcement, Blockasset's BLOCK token experienced a significant surge, with its value increasing by over 125% in the past day and its market capitalization surpassing $21 million.
This partnership goes beyond typical marketing efforts, transforming how fans interact with the sport. Given the vast influence of the sports industry, this initiative is set to play a crucial role in advancing Solana's goal of widespread adoption.
