The Executive Vice President and Head of Policy at Blockchain Association Jake Chervinsky shared that such a ban won’t have any positive outcome as it won’t contribute to lowering carbon emissions.

The crypto advocate also thinks that the ban demonstrates New York's disapproval of cryptocurrencies. However, Chervnisky still believes that Katy Hochul, the NY Governor, will overturn the bill in order to help out fellow residents of the city.
On top of that, a candidate for US Senate, Bruce Fenton, agreed with Buterin and recently tweeted that “no government has the right to tell you what software to run.”
On another note, Russia's Deputy Minister of Energy Evgeny Grabchak stated that the country would be seeking to legalize crypto mining.
