The CEO of Tesla has confirmed that customers will be able to purchase the company’s merchandise with Dogecoin.
Earlier in November of 2021, Twitter user Tree of Alpha, who is a software engineer, checked Tesla’s source code and came to a conclusion that the company will be launching a DOGE payment option. This was confirmed by Musk in December who told followers on Twitter that plans to make payments for Tesla merch with DOGE were already in session.
On January 14th, Tesla's CEO officially announced that users can now purchase merch with Dogecoin. On the other hand, by looking at the support section of the shop, Tesla warns users that the items in the shop are only purchasable with DOGE, while other types of digital assets will not be refunded if sent.
