Sui Network revolutionizes the dApp log-in process.
Sui Network has unveiled a revolutionary zkLogin (Zero Knowledge login) feature.
The new feature enables individuals to use existing Google, Facebook, or Twitch accounts to sign into decentralized applications (dApps), removing the need for a separate crypto wallet or seed phrase.

Announced in a September 13th press announcement, the Sui Foundation highlighted its mission to simplify the dApp onboarding process. Instead of the typical Web3 wallets that many find confusing or cumbersome, users can now log in via familiar social media platforms.
Sui Foundation Managing Director Greg Siourounis elaborated on the firm's mission:
By enabling users to access dApps with the social logins they have grown comfortable using, zkLogin removes a major hurdle for bringing the benefits of blockchain-based applications to billions of mainstream users.
The introduction of this feature addresses a long-standing problem in the blockchain ecosystem. New and seasoned users have often pointed out that various usability challenges deter them from fully engaging with blockchain applications. These include the obligation to confirm transactions, maintain seed phrases, and navigate complex information requirements.
Co-founder and CPO of Mysten Labs, Adeniyi Abiodun, echoed this sentiment, stating:
Too many individuals — whose everyday lives would benefit from blockchain technologies — are irretrievably lost at our doorstep, frustrated at installing Web3 wallets and managing seed phrases.
The Sui Foundation also emphasized the secure nature of the zkLogin feature. It utilizes zero-knowledge proof technology verifying specific assertions without divulging any additional data. Thus, users can take advantage of the privacy and ownership of blockchain applications without compromising on security.
Sui Network’s introduction of social media logins via the zkLogin feature marks a significant step toward mass adoption of dApps. By easing the onboarding process, the company aims to bring blockchain technologies closer to everyday internet users, all while maintaining the security and privacy that blockchain promises.
