After suffering a crippling hack, the development team behind the Ronin Network is now ready to give users rewards for identifying security loopholes.
The latest breach of Axie Infinity’s Ronin Network set the platform back by approximately $615 million, forcing the company to look for ways out of the slump. Even though Sky Mavis managed to secure a $150M relief fund last week, the platform still has a long way to go.
In a recent blog post, Sky Mavis acknowledged their struggles in securing the platform and asked the community, more importantly, "white hat" hackers, to explore any security vulnerabilities that may be present.

White hats are ethical hackers that have a green light to evaluate software, system, or code weaknesses by using the usual hacking methods with full knowledge of the respective company or platform.
On this occasion, Sky Mavis asks participants to perform these ethical hacks without sharing public reports on any uncovered exploits, and refrain from malicious activity such as extracting exposed data, phishing, social engineering, performing automated testing, etc.
Those, who manage to identify and disclose critical vulnerabilities to the Sky Mavis team, will be receiving a generous amount of Axie Infinity’s native token $AXS:
"Sky Mavis is eager to work with the community to make sure that every researcher's finding is rewarded fairly - based on the vulnerability's impact on business and overall severity. To this end, it is possible that extraordinarily severe issues or those with extreme impact may be rewarded up to $1,000,000."
The scope of the operation takes up the whole environment of Axie Infinity and the Ronin Network, including smart contracts, blockchain, mobile applications, related websites, and browser extensions.
