Bitcoin barges its way into the sports industry with the likes of US Olympian Johnny Quinn who announced his full support towards crypto.
As digital assets became a major talking point in mainstream media, multiple figures in the sports scene started making their way into cryptocurrencies via accepting salaries in Bitcoin and creating/purchasing NFTs.
The next sportsperson in line to get a piece of the pie was Olympic Bobsledder Johnny Quinn who has shown interest in crypto since 2021. Today, he shared a full list of his crypto readings and several examples/comparisons of large companies shifting towards digital assets.

Interestingly enough, Quinn is highly opposed to assets built on "hype", and suggests followers ignore any advice from flashy personalities on social media platforms that offer "quick ways to get rich."
While the message seems rather rash from a person who has only very recently entered the digital asset industry, Quinn makes a fair point that only through reading and education can people fully grasp the idea and extent of cryptocurrencies, not social media influencers:
"The point is to get the correct content consumed so you can draw an accurate perspective regarding Bitcoin and the future."
This wasn’t the first time that a sportsperson encouraged crypto education as means of financial stability in the future. Last week, the Lebron James Family Foundation announced its partnership with Crypto.com in an attempt to educate people in poor financial situations.
