Indian mobile game publisher nCORE has secured a funding round to pursue its NFT and metaverse projects.
Founded in 2018 by Dayanidhi MG and Vishal Gondol, nCORE Games became one of the biggest mobile game development platforms in India. The company currently has two mobile games announced on its platform - FAU-G and Pro Cricket Mobile.
On January 17th, it was announced that the gaming platform secured a $10M Series A funding round led by well-known investors in the crypto industry - Animoca Brands and Galaxy Interactive. Likewise, the fund was supported by Polygon, Hyperedge Capital, and multiple angel investors.

nCORE’s primary task is to build a metaverse for its players, alongside releasing game-related NFTs and tokens. Indian entrepreneur and gaming veteran Vishal Gondol mentioned that Web 3.0 development and implementation into their platform will bring in a lot more players from the region.
Speaking with TechCrunch, Gondol talked about the importance of rewarding users playing their games, stating:
"Currently when you’re playing a game, the maximum upside for you was to become part of some community. Now while you’re playing the game, you also have the chance to own value of the game."
The co-founder of Animoca Brands Yat Siu stated that the funding into nCORE Games is one of his "most promising investments in India, which has a large gaming market with a massive growth potential."
