Ex-Man Utd players Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, and Ryan Giggs, in partnership with Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, will be launching their own decentralized autonomous organization for investments into soccer projects.
Several soccer teams and players have shown interest in the blockchain industry, especially NFTs and sponsorship deals.
This particular project, named CO92 DAO, according to Bloomberg, will allow fans to invest in the soccer-related projects via tokens, and become a part of new and upcoming soccer teams.

Peter Lim and his son Kiat Lim will be the backbone of the soccer-investment DAO, and are currently scoping out their opportunities, with further developments in due time.
According to one of the legendary Manchester United players Gary Neville, the CO92 DAO will bring fans closer to the professional soccer industry, stating that they "have access to unique sporting projects and want to work together with fans to create value together."
While there haven’t been any official announcements regarding any airdrops or token sales, Kiat Lim spoke on the basis of the project:
"Building on the principles of an ownership economy and leveraging Web3 technology, we are creating a more inclusive and engaging environment for fans to be involved in decision-making, participate in the whole ecosystem of the game, and share in all the aspects of success together."
In fact, this is the second soccer-related project that the duo from Singapore had released. The initial one was with currently one of the best soccer players in the world Cristiano Ronaldo, called ZujuGP.
While there haven’t been any other reports of players approached by investors who’d like to build investment DAO’s, some superstar players like Neymar were drawn into the NFT craze, and purchased a BAYC Ape for almost $500K.
