Argentinians can now purchase airline tickets using the local crypto exchange Lemon Cash.
Lemon Cash, an Argentinian cryptocurrency exchange, has partnered with a tokenized travel products marketplace TravelX to allow airline ticket purchases.
According to the announcement shared on Twitter, customers can purchase airline tickets on TravelX using USD Coin (USDC) held in Lemon wallets.

Moreover, Lemon has launched an exclusive initiative available when customer purchases tickets. Lemon Cash noted that customers can receive 50% cash back in Bitcoin (BTC) if the price for each purchased ticket won’t exceed $100.
It is reported that the initiative will be available from October 18th to October 31st while buying tickets from Flybondi Airlines. According to Lemon Cash, users will receive their cash back within five business days.
TravelX offers cheap Argentinian airline Flybondi tickets, which after purchase, are converted to NFTickets. It is a relatively interesting initiative, which allows customers to sell, gift, transfer, auction, or exchange their NFTickets on an exclusive peer-to-peer system.
Lemon Co-founder and CEO Marcelo Cavazzoli, when talking about the collaboration, noted:
This integration opens the doors to more than a million and a half users that we have in the app to travel using Web3. They will have the ability to buy, sell or even auction their airline tickets within the TravelXYZ platform.
It is worth noting that before integrating Lemon Cash into its platform, users were able to buy NFTickets using Binance Pay.
TravelX CEO and co-founder Juan Pablo Lafosse highlighted that the biggest perk of NFTickets is that users have the freedom to manage their airline tickets as they wish.

The possibility of managing an air ticket as the user wishes, with absolute freedom, is something that many people have been waiting for. We are working to continue expanding its reach and this alliance with Lemon Cash allows us to reach more than one and a half million app users.
It is reported that TravelX aims to expand the list of supported airlines to 60, focusing on Latin American and European airlines.
