The collaborative fundraising project between NFT artist Pak and Julian Assange called Censored raked in almost $54 million in crypto.
After facing threats to be extradited to the US and put behind bars for a very long time, Julian’s fight against the authorities will be supported by the funds gathered through the AssangeDAO project.
Today marks the end of the AssangeDAO fundraiser, with the final amount raised being 17,422 ETH, worth over $53.8 million at current prices. Likewise, it is the day that Julian Assange’s legal team will fight against his extradition into the United States.

The funds collected on the DAO will be used to purchase an NFT from the Censored collection, with proceedings going towards Assange’s legal battles.
Users are now able to bid on the One Thousand Thirty Four NFT and try to out-do the latest bid of 4,242.42 ETH, worth over $13 million. The bids will be closing in about 6 hours after this article has been published.
Likewise, people are able to purchase less exclusive, "pay-what-you-like" Open Editions, with all proceedings going towards organizations fighting censorship and striving for freedom and rights.
This will be the largest ever fundraiser on the Juicebox platform. Earlier last year, the platform hosted a fundraiser to purchase the original print of the United States Constitution, reaching around $49M in cryptocurrencies.
