BitDegree becomes one of 52 new members that joined Web3 Domain Alliance on February 23rd.
BitDegree, the world's first blockchain-powered, smart incentive-based online education platform, has joined Web3 Domain Alliance.
By becoming a member of the Web3 Domain Alliance, BitDegree commits to work hand in hand with other Alliance members to create a “safer, friendlier, and even more welcoming web3 environment.”

In its Twitter post shared on February 23rd, BitDegree highlighted that it is excited to join Web3 Domain Alliance and work with companies like Unstoppable Domains.
Web3 Domain Alliance is a member-led, member-driven organization focused on improving public policy and the technological environment for Web3 naming services.
The organization was started in November 2022 to promote “the development of the Web3 naming industry and the functioning of Web3 domain registries with and across blockchain-based and traditional web applications.”
On its website, Web3 Domain Alliance highlighted that it aims to “proactively engage in discussions” with The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to “increase ICANN’s awareness and recognition of Web3 Top-Level Domains (W3TLDs).”
Initially, the coalition consisted of six members: Unstoppable Domains, Bonfida, Syscoin, Hashgraph.name, Clayton.domain, and Polkadot Name System. However, less than six months after its launch, it now has over 50 members.
As a member of the Web3 Domain Alliance, BitDegree will work on adopting Alliance’s interoperability and security standards. On top of that, the company will contribute to ensuring consumer protection, “interoperability of blockchain naming systems,” and many more goals.
It is worth noting that BitDegree has already worked with one of the Alliance’s members, US Web3 startup Unstoppable Domains. In September 2022, companies joined forces to hand out NFT Domain rewards to every student who completes any Web3-related course on the BitDegree platform.
Through its 30-day Learn & Earn initiative, Unstoppable Domains handed out around $50 million worth of NFT Domains.
