Likewise, Binance will be a partner of AFCON on all social media outlets in Cameroon and will be featured in the highlights of the top plays of the tournament.
Regarding the partnership with Binance, the General Secretary of CAF Veron Mosengo-Omba was thrilled about the sponsorship deal, stating:
"CAF is ready to embrace blockchain-based technology and its impact on the future of African football development. I am certain that together with Binance, we can take African football to a new level."
More than that, since 2020, Binance has been hosting free crypto classes for African individuals in order to support the struggling region, introduce blockchain-based financial solutions to the people, and provide better career opportunities.
Co-founder of Binance Yi He commented on the expansion into the region, stating:
"With a population of 1.2 billion Africans and the prevalence of blockchain technology & its use cases, we believe the African continent could lead the future of the blockchain industry."
Apart from the African region, Binance has got its footing in the Middle East via a financial license in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where it will be operating as an official crypto service provider.
