The Los Angeles-based football club Angel City unveiled its partnership with Crypto.com, with the goal of giving women better representation and opportunities.
On December 21st, the Angel City football club announced Crypto as their new founding partner which will be responsible for the creation and management of the team’s NFTs. This partnership was actually followed by their previous $700M deal for the Staples Center’s naming rights. As a result, the ACFC stadium was named the Crypto.com Arena for 20 years.
The initial objective of Crypto is to spearhead the financial side of the football team via cryptocurrencies, while Angel City FC will be responsible for bringing awareness to women’s sports, alongside introducing new ways towards financial independence through digital currency.
