Former President Donald Trump has launched a line of Bitcoin-themed sneakers on the Trump Sneakers website, with pre-orders starting on July 31.
The "Crypto President" orange high-top sneakers, limited to 1,000 pairs, sold out in just three hours. Five pairs are randomly signed by Trump, giving buyers a 1 in 200 chance of receiving an autographed pair.
These sneakers quickly appeared on eBay, with prices ranging from $700 to $2,500. While many of the sellers have high ratings, some feedback has accused a few of being scams.

Two other "Crypto President" sneaker models—the orange low-tops and black high-tops—are still available for pre-order on the Trump Sneakers site, each priced at $299.
In addition to the Bitcoin-themed footwear, Trump's merchandise line includes various branded items like perfume, a $299 "Freedom" cooler, and other shoes with Trump slogans and American flag designs.
Trump's recent initiatives mark a shift in his stance on digital assets, given that in 2021, he said Bitcoin "seems like a scam."
The launch comes after Trump spoke at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, where he pledged to remove Gary Gensler as Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and establish a "Bitcoin and crypto presidential advisory council."
Thus, the sneakers represent Trump's evolving stance on cryptocurrency and his promises to support Bitcoin and crypto policies.
