The crypto market shows renewed vigor today, with top coins rebounding and the Fear and Greed Index leaping from 26 to 39. After a period of calm, Bitcoin's volatility is ramping up again, nearing levels seen during its all-time high earlier this year. Meanwhile, all eyes are on the upcoming central bankers' conference in Jackson Hole this Friday for potential market-moving signals. In this dynamic landscape, the only certainty is uncertainty 🌊
This year, Solana's pump.fun has reigned over the memecoin market, giving a platform for people to create world-changing tokens, such as "Holy Frog Father," "Smoking Chicken Fish," "what the sigma," "Crocs In Sport Mode," and so many more (I feel like these tokens would send a Victorian child into a coma, ngl).
However, yesterday, a new memecoin deployer based on Justin Sun's Tron network, Sun Pump, took over the crown.
Sun Pump outshined its rival both in terms of daily activity (7,531 new tokens created compared to pump.fun's 6,701) and revenue ($555K to $366K).
The crazy part is that this platform was launched just 12 days ago, and within this short period of time managed to:
- Create over 25K memecoins;
- Surpass $1.6M in revenue.
Will it continue to shine bright? That's TBD, but for now, it's surely causing a heatwave out here.

On today's menu: a large McScam meal with a Coke and a side of tears.
The official IG account of McDonald's got hacked and made a few posts about a new memecoin inspired by one of the fast food chain's mascots, Grimace.
Many people rushed to grab a piece of that—within minutes, the token's market cap soared to $25M.
However, the only ones who weren't left hangry were the hackers, who reportedly bought 75% of the total supply at launch, spread it to around 100 addresses, and then devoured $700K in profits once they dumped all their holdings.
The market cap then dropped to below $1M, currently at $325K.

And as if stealing from investors wasn't enough, the scammers dropped a cheeky little "in your face" bomb in the account's bio:
"Sorry mah n***a you have just been rug pulled by India_X_Kr3w thank you for the $700,000 in Solana"
… ba da ba ba baaa…😔
McDonald's has since regained control of the account, deleted the posts, removed the bio, and apologized for the offensive content posted during the hack.
So, what did we learn today? The saying "put your money where your mouth is" can sometimes be misinterpreted. Never put your money into a random sketchy memecoin just because you love a good Big Mac in your mouth.
