Solana Saga website is now proudly displaying the "SOLD OUT" sign, thanks to the Bonk memecoin airdrop frenzy. This surge in demand has ignited remarkable resell prices on eBay.
An eBay listing on December 16 stole the spotlight – two completely new Solana Saga phones (sealed and unopened) were sold at an astonishing price of $5,000 each. The same day, one more device was sold for a substantial sum of $3,316.

That's not all, though; over the weekend, the frenzy continued as 20 more Solana Saga phones were sold for over $2,000 each. Compared to the original retail price of $599, it represented an impressive markup of more than $1,400.
The driving force behind this unprecedented surge in demand is the 30 million Bonk token airdrop that comes with each new Saga phone since its launch on May 8. A recent Bonk price surge made the free airdrop more valuable than the phone itself, leading to its rapid sell-out by December 16.
Crypto enthusiasts who have acquired resold Saga phones are seemingly making a calculated wager on the future price of Bonk. In the past 30 days alone, Bonk has witnessed an astounding 800% surge in value, gaining traction among memecoin enthusiasts and shrewd traders alike.
However, the allure of these Saga phones extends beyond the promise of Bonk. Several Solana-based projects like Solend and Samoyed Coin (SAMO) have recently announced airdrops and enticing incentives for Saga phone users.
Additionally, GenesysGo, a decentralized storage provider, also disclosed that users could mine its native Shadow (SHDW) token using the Saga phone. This added functionality has only bolstered the device's appeal within the cryptocurrency community.
