Launched on March 6, Binance's female marketing leaders are at the forefront of this campaign. They are leveraging the luxury scent to draw attention and start the conversation about engaging more women in crypto.
Rachel Conlan, Binance's Chief Marketing Officer, emphasizes that the idea behind the campaign is to advertise a message rather than a scent:
We're here to tell women everywhere: Don't be a bystander. Break those glass ceilings, challenge existing narratives, and become part of this digital transformation that’s set to redefine global finance.
The core of Binance's initiative is to inspire more women to explore and join the crypto industry.
As a tangible step towards this goal, Binance has pledged to reward the first 5,000 women who complete one of their beginner crypto courses with $25 in Tether (USDT), reinforcing the message that the crypto space is universal and accessible to all.
This is part of Binance's broader "Crypto is Yours" campaign, which draws inspiration from traditional beauty advertising to challenge the norms within the crypto industry and create a more inclusive environment.
However, some women from the crypto community expressed their dissatisfaction with the campaign, saying it is "kind of insulting" because it pushes the idea that the only way to get women to invest in crypto is through beauty products.
Nonetheless, Binance's approach is a testament to the company's vision of a diverse and inclusive crypto industry where everyone, regardless of gender, has the opportunity to contribute and succeed.
In other Binance-related news, the crypto exchange has temporarily stopped withdrawals on the Solana network due to an unusually high volume of transactions.
