Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, believes that the cryptocurrency market cap will increase one hundredfold by 2030.
After establishing Real Vision in 2014, Raoul became a widely known investor and economist who dove into the crypto market, and has been bullish with his digital assets since 2020.
With the current crypto market cap, based on CoinGecko, being $2.18 trillion, Pal suggested that this number will significantly increase sometime before 2030.

In an interview with Bankless Brazil, he specifically stated that "if [there are] 3.5 billion users in 2030, well the market cap’s going to be something like $250 trillion. It’s straightforward with just using network adoption models."
When speaking about the derivatives market, Pal was quite optimistic about crypto potentially overtaking other markets:
"I think there’s a reasonable chance of this being a $250 trillion asset class, which is 100x from here, which would be the largest growth of any asset class in all of history in the shortest period of time."
On the other hand, crypto prices have somewhat plummeted - an 8.03% drop for Bitcoin in the past 7 days, which may cause concerns, or get in the way of reaching the goal that Pal had predicted for crypto before 2030.
Likewise, in late 2021, Pal talked about the recent decline in crypto prices, with the main factor being institutions wanting to cash out before New Year’s Eve. Therefore, corporations hodling crypto may slow the increase of the market cap, which is the opposite of what Raoul Pal expects before the end of the decade.
