The “Parisland” will launch right before Valentine's Day, on February 13th. In the Virtual Reality (VR) dating experience, users will have to complete various missions, including “finding the secret of the chef’s famed Love Burger, rescuing a castaway, and flirting with other contestants” and, most importantly, “finding their true love.”
When talking about “Parisland,” The Sandbox co-founder and COO Sebastien Borget stated:
I can’t think of a better way to light up the winter months than a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway to Paris Hilton’s tropical island in the Metaverse. Parisland offers a dazzling escape to sunny beaches, lighthearted romance, and genuine emotion as you discover and woo your romantic partner and celebrate with a destination wedding.
After completing all the quests and finding a partner, users will have an interactive wedding ceremony with Paris Hilton DJing for the couple's first dance. Moreover, until March 13th, users will be able to earn unique Paris Hilton non-fungible tokens (NFTs), 100,000 SAND, or Memorabilia.
The collaboration also enrolled the Paris Hilton-founded next-generation entertainment firm 11:11 Media. Company’s Web3 and Metaverse strategy lead, Cynthia Miller, noted:
We’re thrilled to celebrate another holiday in the Metaverse, this time in The Sandbox with a mission to help people find love. This marks yet another defining moment for Paris and 11:11 Media, as we continue to develop innovative, interactive experiences for next-gen audiences to connect with brands, celebrities and each other.
Paris Hilton used Twitter to share the news. The media personality invited her 16.9 million Twitter followers to "party on the beach, pick up cute collectibles and explore <...> tropical Parisland Metaverse!"
