Unveiled Miss Universe Coin gets no love from the actual organization.
The Miss Universe Organization has publicly distanced itself from the Miss Universe Coin, a cryptocurrency project announced at Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW) earlier this month.
Initially, Donald Lim, who helms the organization responsible for Philippine Blockchain Week, proclaimed that the organization would "launch the Miss Universe Coin." However, the Miss Universe Organization later disavowed any connection with this coin initiative.

A statement on the organization's official Facebook page clarified that neither the Miss Universe Organization nor JKN Global Group, the company running the pageant, had any involvement with the coin revealed at the PBW gathering. The organization further stated it would actively seek legal remedies for this violation.
There is currently no Miss Universe cryptocurrency or blockchain offering, and these products are in no way involved with the voting or selection process for Miss Universe or the Miss Universe Philippines pageants.
Adding more details, a spokesperson from the Miss Universe Organization revealed that they consider the Miss Universe Coin a "fraud." The representative expressed concern that the fraudulent scheme may gain further attention at upcoming blockchain events worldwide.
We suspect that people may be planning to mention this at upcoming blockchain conferences in Dubai and Singapore. If you see it there, please do not cover; it’s a fraud.
Meanwhile, Philippine Blockchain Week has also released a statement on X (formerly Twitter). The organization confirmed that it is in talks with all parties connected to the controversy and promised an imminent update on the situation.
As the Miss Universe Organization sets out to legally combat this unauthorized association, the incident is a cautionary tale about the potential pitfalls of cryptocurrency and blockchain projects capitalizing on established brand names without permission.
