The partnership includes not only Man City’s soccer team but also its women's soccer and esports teams, with OKX’s branding showing up in the Etihad Home Academy Stadiums.
While the numbers that followed the deal weren’t officially announced, some sources claimed that the two parties agreed to a multi-million dollar deal.
Roel De Vries, who is the Chief Operating Officer of the Manchester City Football Group, spoke on the partnership, stating:
"The new partnership aligns our shared values of innovation, drive for success and being at the cutting edge of our respective industries. Their broad and inclusive approach to targeting diverse audiences resonates with our approach."
This wasn’t the first time Manchester City showed interest in blockchain technologies. Last month, the soccer club made a three-year partnership deal with tech giant Sony for a metaverse project.
