A wave of celebrities is set to pick the best digital artwork for an innovative fundraising initiative.
The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) is set to launch the non-fungible token-related initiative, which would eventually result in amfAR's first NFT collection.
The art contest, hosted on the digital platform Prospect 100, is currently open for global digital artists to submit their original designs.

The panel's focus will be selecting 100 captivating digital backgrounds that will be merged with amfAR's pre-designed foreground characters to form unique NFTs. These NFTs will be sold, with all profits going towards AIDS research.
All submitted designs will initially be put through a public vote on Prospect 100. Afterward, the celebrity panel will select the finalists based on originality, coherence to amfAR's foreground character aesthetics, and the significance of the artwork.
The panel will include celebrities like fashion models Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss, artist Jeff Koons, musician J Balvin, and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann.
Notably, for some celebrity jurors, this is their first engagement with NFTs. Others, such as Jeff Koons, the highest-earning living artist, have previously ventured into the NFT space. Koons' NFT collection, Moon Phases, which ties each NFT to a physical sculpture set for lunar delivery, was released last year. Supermodel Kate Moss also launched a series of NFTs earlier in 2021.
The jury is further enriched by French designer Alexandre "Millinsky" Daillance, Russian model Natalia Vodianova, South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, American model Alton Mason, and Italian streetwear designer Francesco Ragazzi.
Daillance, also the co-founder and CMO of Prospect 100, underlined the importance of having a judging panel that embodies relevance, glamour, and modernity.
Prospect 100 is no stranger to charity initiatives, previously collaborating with the Ukraine government to support the country during the Russian invasion. Daillance expressed gratitude towards the star-studded panel for their commitment to raising funds for amfAR's crucial mission.
It is worth noting that the date of the NFT collection sale is yet to be announced.
