Fujitsu, a Japanese multinational information and communications technology equipment and services corporation, is launching a Web3 Acceleration Program.

In particular, the program will be available for Web3 startups, Fujitsu partner companies, and universities.

With its Web3 Acceleration Program, Fujitsu expects to create an ecosystem allowing users to develop Web3 applications focusing on business transactions, digital content right management, contracts, and processes.

On top of that, Fintech Times revealed that Fujitsu Web3 program users will be given access to “Fujitsu’s advanced computing technologies and applications.” By using these resources, participants will be able to utilize trusted data to develop and run simulations, artificial intelligence (AI), and “combinatorial optimization applications.”

When talking about the program, TC3 K.K founder and CEO Yoshito Sudo noted:

We are excited about the launch of the Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform. Our company helps enterprises to build digital products and AI engines by working with global gig economies. By participating in the Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform, we plan to prototype Web3 application services and DAO community services.

In the announcement, Fujitsu reportedly distinguished three key themes for its Web3 service, “realization of a co-creation society through decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO); rights management and utilization of digital contents; realization of digital trust.”

The program is set to launch in March exclusively for Japanese startups and other companies. The company highlighted plans to expand to the global scene “later this year.”

On top of that, the company is planning to host “a global planning and development contest” to build decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) communities and other Web3 services.

It is worth noting that there is a growing interest from global firms in the world of Web3. Recently, Toyota Motor announced its collaboration with Japan-based layer-1 blockchain, Astar Network, to host its first Web3 hackathon.
