According to Ed Marquez, the plugin will be useful for investors looking to "tap into AI with blockchain."
In a groundbreaking partnership between artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain, ChatGPT has come together with a distributed ledger technology Hedera.
This union leverages the decentralized strength of blockchain, enabling ChatGPT to securely interact with the Hedera network and harness its toolset, including the Hedera Consensus Service, Hedera Token Service, and Smart Contract Service.

Recently, Ed Marquez, a renowned developer, offered a tutorial on Twitter outlining the process of creating a plugin for Hedera account token balances.
Marquez revealed that the plugin capitalizes on a mirror node Rest application programming interface (API) to fetch account balances programmatically or via a network explorer. The returned HBAR data is expressed in tinybars (tℏ), with one ℏ equal to 100,000,000 tℏ.
Hedera's ledger hosts account that contain a multitude of tokens, including its own HBAR, as well as fungible and non-fungible tokens minted on Hedera.
The plugin allows ChatGPT to access HBAR and other token balances from Hedera accounts. This collaboration essentially enhances the ease of interaction between ChatGPT and the blockchain, easing asset oversight and management for the end-users.
After the plugin and API are fully developed and activated, they can be integrated into the ChatGPT user interface. Subsequently, users can interact with ChatGPT to inquire about HBAR and token balances linked to their Hedera accounts.
By integrating blockchain with AI, the plugin amplifies the trustworthiness of AI-generated content while providing a secure platform for users to engage in microtransactions, premium content access, and participate in tokenized economies without the fear of excessive costs or delays.
This integration also opens the gateway to the invention of decentralized applications (dApps). These applications can be used for the creation of decentralized marketplaces, collaborative platforms, and mechanisms for rewarding user activity.
The novel integration of ChatGPT with the Hedera Network marks a significant stride in the fusion of AI and blockchain technologies. It illustrates the potential of such a blend in enhancing user interaction, streamlining processes, and driving the development of decentralized applications.
